ICG Properties, through its subsidiary ICG Aeolian Energy, has secured multiple land leases totaling 2,500 acres for the development of a wind turbine farm. The site is located a few miles south of Stockton in Rooks County, Kansas. The farm has been sized initially for 50 MW.

In the spring of 2008, ICG Aeolian Energy installed three met towers with multiple anemometers and, as of June 2009, has completed one year of wind data collection. The data suggest an average wind speed of 7.4m/s making this a category 4 site per the US Department of Energy (see Wind Resource Map pdf).

The project is on schedule with an expected commissioning date in the 3rd quarter of 2011. Turbine selections will be made by the end of 2009 and PPA negotiations scheduled to begin immediately upon completion of the EIA in the 3rd quarter of 2010.
