by Neil Adler, Staff Reporter
ICG Properties has acquired a property two blocks from the White House in a deal with the Christian Science Church.
The price and other terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The property, at the corner of 16th and Eye streets NW, includes a 30,000-square-foot office building at 910 16th St., a 52-space underground parking garage and a building occupied by Third Church of Christ, Scientist, a branch of the Boston-based church. The church will stay in its building.
ICG, whose headquarters is in the adjacent World Center building at 1600 K St. NW, says it is working with the church to explore options for the entire site.
The company currently owns more than 500,000 square feet of commercial assets, including Penn Branch Center and 2115 and 2121 Wisconsin Ave. NW.
