ICG has engaged HOK to design a seaside destination at Aqah in the Emirate of Fujairah, an hour's drive outside Dubai on the Indian Ocean. The development features a contemporary "arabesque" design. The Radisson Al Aqah Resort will feature 286 rooms, six food and beverage outlets, a private 150m sand beach, outdoor swimming pools, spa and gym facilities. The resort will be LEED-certified and is scheduled for opening in 2011. The hotel will be operated by Radisson SAS Hotels & Resorts, the first-class, full-service brand of The Rezidor Hotel Group.
